A RETIRING Carlisle dentist predicts even more dentists will leave the NHS when the current three-year contract ends in just over a year. Ian Campbell was one of the first local dentists to go private back in 1992 and says although it was a tough decision to make, he hasn’t looked back. Since then he has watched as numerous others have become disheartened with the pressures of NHS targets and taken the decision to pull out.
