PATIENTS in north Cumbria are being asked to nominate members of hospital staff they feel deserve special recognition for their hard work. A new awards initiative aims to reward NHS staff who go above and beyond the call of duty for their patients. Categories will range from Doctor of the Year to a Lifetime Achievement Award – but there is also a Patient’s Award where members of the public can make a nomination.
