A tiny ‘torpedo’ that sails through the body to seek out and destroy tumours could help fight cancer. The device, which is a thousand times smaller than a human hair, carries a cargo of anti-cancer medicine. Once it has located cancerous tissue, it binds to it and releases drugs.
