New rules 'will force small chemists to close' - The Telegraph 19th January 2008

Hundreds of small chemists could be forced out of business because they do not dispense enough prescriptions, it was claimed yesterday. Under rules that come into force in April, chemists who dispense fewer than 2,100 prescriptions a month stand to lose £18,000 of Government payments and many could be forced to close.
