This weekend GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips spoke movingly of her fears that she would succumb to Alzheimer's disease, the illness that caused the death of her beloved mother and has now tragically affected her father. 'I'm 47 and my mum was only 57 when she developed Alzheimer's,' she explained. 'So I am very aware that I may only have ten years of life left as I know it.'
