NURSES have voted overwhelmingly in favour of bringing the cleaning of NHS wards back in-house rather than leaving it to private firms. Staff at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) conference in Bournemouth said they believed in-house firms did a better job. About 40 per cent of NHS cleaning services are out-sourced to private companies.
