REASSURANCES have been given from Millom MP Jamie Reed about funding for the new West Cumberland Hospital. Clarification had been sought at a recent meeting of the Cross Government and West Cumbria Partnership Group following confusion over the commitment of funding for the new hospital. But Mr Reed, who was at the meeting in London, has confirmed that it will be the Department of Health which will fund the hospital, but some cash may also come from other government departments.
