Treatment curtails stroke damage - The Times 5th April 2008

Internal bleeding in patients who have had a stroke can be reduced by lowering their blood pressure, a medical trial has shown. Strokes that are caused by bleeding, rather than more commonly by blood clots, can continue to damage the brain after the stroke because the bleeding increases.
