THE organisation that controls Warrington's health service has balanced its books for the first time. The Primary Care Trust has announced a £1.4million surplus which bosses say will be reinvested into the town's services this year. Andrew Burgess, chief executive of the trust, said: "We are obviously delighted with the financial stability that we have achieved and together with the hospital's similar success, this is very good news for the people of Warrington.
