RESIDENTS are to get more say than ever on how a local mental health service is run after it achieved the prestigious 'foundation trust status'. Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, which is based in Bury New Road, Prestwich, revealed the award on Friday (Feb 1) at the end of a rigorous assessment process carried out by Monitor, the independent regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts.
