In a series focusing on medical specialisms, BBC News meets spinal orthopaedic surgeon Mr Andrew Quaile. Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with problems with the musculoskeletal system - the skeleton, its joints and the muscles attached to bones by tendons. Mr Quaile's branch concentrates on the spine specifically.
