I spend hours cooking meals for teens who then leave the house without thanking me. I spend more hours standing around shops waiting for them to decide which T-shirt they want. And I get up in the middle of the night to drive them from party to party. These things are much appreciated, I gather. But, my children say, there is more I could learn.
