THE health of those in their “sunset years” is outpacing that of 18 to 34-year-olds, a survey suggests this week. More than 2,000 people of all ages were asked about their health and lifestyle, and some interesting results emerged. Nearly twice as many over55s as 18 to 34-year-olds ate five portions of fruit and veg a day, and the older age group was more willing to get sweaty and exercise daily. Looks like the phrase “over the hill’ may officially be redundant as the over55s will be powerwalking back over that hill, knocking off 20 sit-ups, and downing fruit-filled power-shakes.
