The detailed proposals:Expansion of psychiatric intensive care:Inpatient services for people with functional mental illness (eg schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder):Inpatient services for people with severe organic mental illness (severe dementia):Recovery and rehabilitation: Currently provided: Six beds at Carleton Clinic, Carlisle; up to four beds in Lancaster and other spot placements. Proposed change: A single 10-bed unit in Carlisle (reducing out of area placements).
