Promises were made more than a decade ago but still two thirds of NHS trusts have failed to eliminate mixed-sex wards from their hospitals. New data reveals one in seven English trusts still uses curtains or screens rather than walls to separate men and women. Many more make patients pass members of the opposite sex when walking to the bathroom
