Incapacity benefit should be for those who really need it, says Max Pemberton When I was at medical school, I lived with a group of friends in a flat on a council estate. It was well planned, with low-rise blocks, plenty of green space and trees, a community centre and playground. It was well maintained, there was never any graffiti and people seemed to have pride in their homes. I felt rather smug that I had managed to find somewhere to live that fitted in so well with my political ideologies.
