Personal trainers to help city kick bad habits - Liverpool Echo 11th January 2008

Sunday, January 13, 2008

PERSONAL health trainers to help city residents kick bad life-style habits are now taking bookings. Health bosses recruited the experts to tackle Liverpool’s problems with obesity, heart disease and lung cancer. They deliberately chose the New Year, when people are trying to turn over a new leaf, to launch the “What Will You Change?” campaign. The drive started with a free clinic at Boots in Liverpool city centre, where shoppers were able to get health tips and make appointments with personal health trainers. Dr Paula Grey, Liverpool’s director of public health, said: “Our aim is to provide people with valuable hints and the tools to help them on their way to a healthier lifestyle in 2008.”
