ONE of Southport Hospital’s longest serving consultants has finally hung up his stethoscope. Mr David Carden, 60, has spent the past 22 years at Southport as a consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. Mr Carden graduated in medicine from Liverpool University in 1971, and has served hospitals in Liverpool, Warrington and Salford.
