A SPECIALIST new ward is being opened on Monday at Liverpool’s biggest hospital to stop the spread of deadly infections. The chief nursing officer for England Dame Christine Beasley was due to open the new isolation ward at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University hospitals. The ward has 13 beds in single rooms and will be staffed by a dedicated team, experienced in dealing with infectious diseases.
