INSPECTIONS in Sefton show that 99 per cent of businesses are complying with smoke-free laws, according to the Council’s Environmental Protection Department. Since July 2007, when Smokefree England was launched, officers employed by the council visited 2,166 local businesses to inspect and make sure they were adhering to rules and regulations.
