LIVERPOOL’S council leader has welcomed a review of the region’s cancer services – and steps to bring more treatment within the city. In an effort to develop world-class cancer services and address Merseyside’s depressing cancer statistics, the National Health Service is in the early stages of reviewing how and where patients who require chemotherapy and radiotherapy might receive their treatment in the future.
