AUDLEM residents are signing a petition amid fears their village surgery could be axed under Government plans to change the way GP services are provided. Staff at Audlem Medical Practice say hundreds of signatures have been collected. The Government plans to introduce up to 250 large new health centres called polyclinics across England instead of funding extra services in local surgeries.
