MP missed abortion vote to attend party - Crewe Chronicle 4th June 2008

OPPONENTS of Sandbach and Middlewich’s Conservative MP and pro-life campaigner Ann Winterton have criticised her for missing a crucial Commons vote on abortion laws. While the House of Commons was voting on whether the abortion time limit should be reduced, Lady Winterton was in Taiwan as part of an all-party Parliamentary team of delegates attending the inauguration of the country’s new president and vice-president.
