Six laptops stolen from NHS hospital held data on 20,000 patients - The Times 19th June 2008

Six laptop computers containing information about around 20,000 patients have been stolen from a major teaching hospital. The devices, holding names, date of birth and postcodes were stolen over a weekend after being left in an office, a spokeswoman for St George’s Hospital, in Tooting, south London, said. The hospital trust has begun an investigation into the circumstances of the theft.
