A Chorley and South Ribble Hospital professor and Preston Health Mela organiser, honoured with an OBE after more than two decades of working in medicine, said he is glad his work is "finally being recognised". Consultant physician and hospital lead for stroke services, Professor Romesh Chand Gupta, is just one of several Lancashire people from all walks of life recognised in the Queen's birthday honours list.
