Thousands of people with severe arthritis face becoming crippled if they are denied access to a second round of treatment with a revolutionary new drug, a charity has warned. About 60,000 sufferers of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who fail to respond to conventional treatment, now receive one of three types of anti-TNFs – relatively new drugs which can slow the progress of the disabling condition.
