Uproar at smoking ban for Bowmere Hospital - Chester Chronicle 17th April 2008

MENTALLY-ILL patients “detained” at a Chester hospital will have fewer rights than prisoners when they are banned from smoking in July. Carol Bell and Mary Rayner, both patients of Bowmere Hospital at the Countess of Chester Health Park, have written to The Chronicle asking for “a voice” because they believe the ban contravenes their human rights.
