CHANGES to GP practices will have a detrimental effect on our care. The government spent £11m on a patient survey to establish whether or not we were satisfied with access to our GP; 87 per cent of those who responded said they were. In spite of this outcome the government insisted that GPs should open for an three extra hours each week.
