An elderly woman was left to die in hospital after doctors made an order not to resuscitate her without her family's knowledge, it has been claimed. The family of Doris Jarvis, 82, said they only found the document in her medical notes after complaining about the "appalling and disgraceful" care they claimed she received at Macclesfield Hospital, Cheshire. They said the file included a do not resuscitate (DNR) order which they knew nothing about.
