FIVE cancer sufferers in Frodsham and Helsby were awarded Macmillan Cancer Support grants of more than £1,420 last year. Nationally 23,000 people received Macmillan Grants to the tune of £8.5million. Area Fundraising Manager Marie Travers said: “People affected by cancer have told Macmillan that financial worries come second only to pain in causing them stress and anxiety.
