A SCHOOLGIRL will say a special 'thank you' to the doctors who saved her mother's life by presenting their specialist unit with £10,000. When Carolyn Smith, 40, was diagnosed with breast cancer, her 16-year-old daughter Lucy was distraught. But when her mum pulled through, the teenager was so grateful to the medics and researchers at The Nightingale Centre and Genesis Prevention Centre she launched a major fundraising drive.
