Tanning salons are to have tough restrictions imposed on them in order to curb Britain's soaring rates of skin cancer. The government's cancer reform strategy, to be unveiled tomorrow, will review the extent of sunbed use by teenagers. It will look at how many clinics there are and how many of the beds are coin-operated, which allows customers to spend unlimited amounts of time gaining a tan - and significantly increases the risk of developing a malignancy.
