A hospital raked in £2.4million last year charging patients and their relatives to park their cars for appointments and visits. Southampton University Hospitals Trust topped a league table which revealed that 30 trusts made more than £1million each from the fees. Overall, the NHS in England made at least £100million last year from parking charges for patients and visitors coming to see sick loved ones - up a quarter on the year before.
