UNION leaders have held talks with management at Speke pharmaceutical plant Novartis after they announced plans to axe 130 jobs. The Swiss drugs giant revealed the cutbacks yesterday. Local reps from Unite the Union and Usdaw, the two main unions on the site representing the 800-strong workforce, were then locked in afternoon talks.
