Three-week old Katy Norman has earned herself a place in Arrowe Park Hospital history by becoming its first water birth. The hospital recently installed a birthing pool in the new midwife-led area of its Delivery Unit. Katy's mum Natalie, from Eastham, was the first to use the facility - and admits she is now a complete advocate of water births. The mother of two said: "I wanted a completely natural birth and the midwives suggested I try out the birthing pool. I found it really relaxing and managed to go through the entire labour with just gas and air.
