Surgery to stay open - Leigh Journal 22nd November 2007

WATCHDOG councillors have sought reassurance that a doctors' surgery will remain open. "As Leigh West councillors we were concerned about the reports of the closure of the Wigan Road surgery, which is a vital health facility for local people," said Cllr Myra Whiteside, who with colleague Cllrs Peter Smith and Barbara Jarvis asked Ashton, Wigan and Leigh Primary care Trust to clarify the situation.
