A WEST Cumbrian medic has scooped a prestigious national health prize. Dr Kate Wilmer, a consultant cardiologist at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, won a Hospital Doctor of the Year award in a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, London, last night.
