JACK Straw has been slammed after he said patients' concerns over the closure of Burnley's accident and emergency department were "psychological". The MP for Blackburn and Minister for Justice said fears were fuelled by the separation between the two communities, not travelling times - and he was backed by East Lancashire NHS Hospitals Trust chief executive Jo Cubbon.
