A girl who had to have both legs amputated after a GP chose not to make a house call is expected to receive more than £1million in compensation. Lydia Cross, who was only two at the time, was vomiting and hallucinating when her parents called a nearby family doctor and asked him to come round. Instead, Dr John Harrison gave advice over the phone, a court was told.
