Gene 'protects against cancers' - BBC Health News 22nd November 2007

A single gene may protect its carrier against a variety of cancers, according to new research. Two variants of the B-MYB gene carried by up to half of the world's population are found less often in people with cancer, the journal Oncogene reports.
