STREET booze bans to be introduced in Crewe and Nantwich in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour have been welcomed by retailers. The bans, which would make it against the law to consume alcohol in designated public places, are necessary if the borough is to solve the problem rather than merely shift it from one area to another, said shopkeeper Steve Crum, of Bargain Busters in Edleston Road.
