Aintree Hospital gets space-age scanner to help treat eye damage - Liverpool Echo 19th November 2008

A SPECIALIST Liverpool eye service treating the cause of blindness has become the first in the north west to take delivery of a new eye scanner.

The £130,000 Heidelberg Retinal Spectralis is used to diagnose Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and also to monitor treatment.
