FOUR new non-executive directors have been appointed to Cumbria’s health trust which looks after mental health services. In the first appointment process of its kind in Cumbria, the non-executive directors have been appointed to the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust by the governors’ council, made up of locally-elected members. They will represent the community. This is a major difference from the procedure in NHS Trusts where non-executive directors are appointed by the NHS appointments commission.
