For 64 years, their extraordinary bravery in World War Two has gone unrecognised. But now seven nurses who risked their own lives to help evacuate more than 100,000 wounded soldiers from the battlefields of Europe have finally been honoured for their courage. The women - dubbed the Flying Nightingales - were presented with lifetime achievement awards by the Duchess of Cornwall last night.
