Graphic cigarette packet warnings pull no punches - Liverpool Daily Post 27th September 2008

A LIVERPOOL charity has welcomed the introduction of graphic images on cigarette packets showing the horrific effects of smoking – but says the measure alone will not cure the region’s addiction to tobacco. The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation has been campaigning for the measure, which will be phased in from this Wednesday, but says continued funding is needed to help people quit, and to stop young people starting in the first place.
