Cash-strapped families have been hit by a 30 per cent rise in the price of fruit and vegetables, a new report shows. Poor crop harvests and soaring supply chain costs have led to a massive hike in fresh foods, from the humble potato to 'luxury' seedless grapes, according to trade magazine The Grocer.
