Jo Cantrill excitedly booked an appointment to have the new 'miracle' laser eye surgery treatment. Having had to wear glasses since the age of 18 because of short- sightedness, she says she was 'thrilled' at the prospect of not having to wear them any more. 'After the operation, the glasses went straight in the bin,' says Jo, then 25. 'I was told this surgery would cure my shortsightedness for the rest of my life.'
