CUMBRIA’S health bosses have promised they won’t rest on their laurels after a leading heart charity found that under-staffing was putting the county’s heart attack patients at risk. A new report published by the British Heart Foundation failed to find a single cardiac rehabilitation programme in Cumbria that is meeting minimum staffing levels and the charity has warned patients are being deprived of life-saving care.
