More than 100 patients escape from secure hospitals - The Independent 9th September 2008

There were more than 100 escapes from psychiatric hospitals in England and Wales last year, it emerged today. According to figures released to the BBC, at least 116 patients in medium and low security psychiatric hospitals escaped from the institutions or from their escorting staff.
