A patient who complained about a controversial decision-making process which could deny life-extending medication to kidney cancer victims has had his objections summarily dismissed. Expert witness Bill Savage, a retired management consultant who has had a diseased kidney removed, lodged a formal protest about the country's drug rationing body, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence.
